Maru has two locations: one in Los Feliz & one in the Arts District. the cream top is soooo delicious. And Maru's espresso is top grade, so good I stopped by both cafes in one week There's always a long but the baristas are friendly and efficient! Great seating available in the arts district and ample street parking.

Parking: Limited street parking Ambience: Gives off minimalist vibes; decently sized and seems fairly packed most days. There aren't too many tables / seating areas (and the ones that are there are fairly low / small, and so aren't very comfortable), so this doesn't seem to be a good place to study or get work done. There's a decent amount of seating available though, so it's suitable for small hangouts. Service: Friendly, no complaints! Taste: Got the chai tea latte and chocolate croissant, both of which were fairly good!

I had ordered a matcha latte and my mom ordered a vanilla latte. I thought that the sweetness in the matches was perfect and wasn't overpowering. I do wish after reading other reviews I would have tried it with the cream too. The vanilla latte had a stronger coffee flavor than I expected but wasn't too bad. The cashier was nice and the drinks were ready fairly quickly considering the line. This place is pretty small and has limited seating.

Heard amazing things about Maru Coffee and so glad I got the chance to try it. I got their signature drink which has that thick foam on top and even though I'm not always a huge fan of foam/whipped cream-like things, I found this to be super smooth, not saccharine, and so pleasant in flavor. I kept going back for more, and that's rare for me because I usually don't go for these types of things. It was such a pleasant way to balance the sharp, dark espresso that was well-extracted and bold with different notes. Also saw there was a good display of baked goods which I unfortunately did not get to try. Their matcha was pretty delicious too, and not watered down! Would def come back, even though the line can get long. The wait wasn't too bad though, maybe five minutes, during mid-afternoon weekend.
